The opening day of racing at the 2026 GP14 World Championships on Belfast Lough delivered a stern test for competitors and race officials alike, as rapidly changing weather conditions forced organisers to abandon the first championship race.

Abersoch Dinghy Week 2026 delivered everything we love about this event: big fleets, big winds, big socials, and only a sprinkling of rain that we will continue to describe as “character-building”.

Day 3 of the Noble Marine Comet Trio Nationals beckoned with all to play for. The race officer delayed the start waiting for the wind to change direction and settle in. A much appreciated decision as the competitors had a lovely time.

A fabulous week with fourteen Swallows enjoying mostly benign breezes, the usual tidal current challenges, sunshine-soaked days and a full-on social programme!

The wait is over. After three years of preparation, the Klaipeda ORC European Championship 2026 has officially opened, bringing leading offshore racing teams from across Europe to Lithuania’s port city.
