Following on from the club’s Junior Disco on Wednesday 20 August, nineteen juniors took part in Overy Staithe SC’s Wilson Stephens Trophy on Thursday 21 August. The trophy is for those under 17 and it was great to see such a large fleet out on the water.

After leaving Mondello, just north of Palermo, at midday on Tuesday, competition in the Maxi class, part of the 41 boat fleet in the annual Palermo-Montecarlo, was decided on Thursday.

The front-runners are comfortably out of reach in several divisions while in others, Saturday’s final island passage race will decide the victors and the spoils at the 40th anniversary of Hamilton Island Race Week, presented by AMEX.

From 28-31 August, the 12-strong fleet of high-performance one-design owner-driver RC44s will compete for their 2025 World Championship title in the heart of Dutch sailing: Scheveningen, The Hague.
