Last weekend Carrickfergus Sailing Club hosted the GBR IRC Northern Ireland Championship as part of their annual regatta. 18 boats entered with 12 in IRC/YTC 1 and 6 in IRC/YTC2.

Pwllheli racers enjoyed a variety of races this weekend. The day started early with a feeder race from Pwllheli to Abersoch so that boats could join Abersoch regatta races and crews could enjoy activities in Abersoch town.

Cascadia Sailing is an American Canadian team that’s training for this year’s NYYC Women’s International Championships. They are one of 20 teams that was invited to compete at this world-class keelboat event.

The weekend forecast was pretty much as expected for the South coast these days, very hot, light breezes and wall to wall sunshine. And that’s exactly what we got.

Emirates Team NZ declared “new” wingfoil components ahead of a sailing session on Saturday. It is not known if these are new wings in the 2027 cycle or are modified/original wingfoils from the 2024 Cup.
