Having visited Warsash SC only for work reasons in the past, I was looking forward to visiting for a sail. Would it live up to the great YouTube videos posted by the club?

The 27th edition of Fiumanka, one of the largest and most recognisable sailing events on the Croatian Adriatic, once again brought together more than 150 crews and approximately one thousand sailors from Croatia and abroad in the waters off Rijeka.

The D-Zero fleet is thriving and has a reputation for providing great, close and very competitive racing on the water and brilliant craic and friendly support onshore. It attracts top names along with some seriously quick club sailors.

The offshore sailor Francesca Clapcich onboard 11th Hour Racing has finished the Vendée Arctique-Les Sables d’Olonne in fifth place, after 8 days, 20 hours, 31 minutes, and 11 seconds of racing to the Arctic Circle and back from Les Sables d’Olonne.

There’s a familiar story in sailing circles: a group of old crewmates, scattered by careers and geography, start talking again. Someone suggests a regatta, someone else says, “we should do this properly”… and getting the band back together is alive again.
