The Ibiza JoySail Superyacht Regatta is about to mark its fifth edition with exponential growth. In its first edition – held five years ago – four yachts took part, whereas a total of twenty-two superyachts have signed up for this year’s race.

Only one race was scheduled for Wednesday in order to catch up with the overall race programme. It appeared that the committee boat end was favoured and several boats that started there tacked early onto port to take advantage of a left side lift.
